The official poster for Witchfinder has been released, together with news that the film has been selected for the Short Film Showcase at Panic Fest in Kansas City, Missouri. The Showcase begins at 2 pm, and Witchfinder will screen at 3 pm.
Valerie stars as "The Witch" in the 18-minute film, which marks the live-action directing debut of Colin Clarke, whose noted animated films include Frankenstein vs. the Wolfman and Raven's Hollow. Drawing on influences from Hammer and similar classic horror films, Witchfinder brings alive a dark 17th-century world in a way rarely seen in micro-budget independent film. It is already garnering glowing advance reviews, with the critic at Left Hand Horror writing that "the 18 minutes are stolen by The Witch, Valerie Meachum."

Prairie State Film Festival |

 Valerie has been announced as official host of the 2013 Prairie State Film Festival. Held July 27 at Chicago's historic Portage Theater, the festival was founded in 2011 to showcase the work of Illinois filmmakers in all genres.
